AiVR box gathers the video stream from IP camera, NVR or DVR using RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol) to
1. Store video in AWS server.
2. Object identification (person) -> push notification
Download the app first, there is no user interface for AiVR but using Turing video app.
It is available on Google play and App store.
Users or tech can scan the QR code on the box to add. Please note the box needs to access to be connected to the internet.
On the home screen, click the + at upper right hand corner.
Select a box.
- Normally you should have one box on your network. However you can install multiple boxes if your internet connection allows the amount of bandwidth.
- Each box allows upto 4 cameras. You can see how many slots(camera) are available.
Add a camera page. You can either use automatic search or the blank button which is manual input.
I recommend manual input as the automatic search function is not well developed yet. The following steps are based on manual input.
Validate the device.
- Here you input the RTSP stream of the NVR or DVR devices, and user name / password of NVR/DVR.
- Refer to the RTSP stream of each brand section below.
Click on the arrow on the lower left hand side to proceed.
The camera is being connected, sometimes it will take longer than usual. You can cancel and try again.
Initial camera. Once the camera is successfully added, this is what the default page will look like. You will also see the snapshot of the camera. Please change the camera name from default.
You will turn on the “Storage” and “Push notification”. By default they are off.
- Enable the Storage so the video will be stored in the cloud server.
- Push notifications allows objects detected by AiVR to send notifications on your phone.
Click on add a new rule then what to recognize.
Event type, there are multiple objects that can be recognized by AiVR. You might be more interested in Person.
After selecting Person, click on v to proceed.
Adjust the sensitivity as desired. Click save.
After configuration, you can see a list of cameras with snapshot.
Click on the camera, you can see the live stream.
Stroll the time bar to replay video footage stored on the cloud.
Push notification received when a defined object is detected, in this case “Person”. Click on the notification and it will take you to Turing video app.
