Utilizing Upgraded AI Functions: Supporting IVS Self-Learning on Front-End Devices

The Diamond AIoT Console has introduced upgraded AI functions, including support for Intelligent Video Surveillance (IVS) self-learning on front-end devices. These enhancements enable the system to improve its accuracy and performance by learning from real-world scenarios. This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to set up and utilize the IVS self-learning feature.

Applicable Models

The upgraded AI functions, including IVS self-learning, are applicable to the following NVR models:

  • NVR 4XXX-EI
  • NVR 5XXX-EI

Steps to Implement IVS Self-Learning

Step 1: Manage Experience Database

  • Navigate to the Experience Database:
    • Go to Main Menu > EVENT > Database > Experience Database.
  • Database Operations:
    • Here, you can perform various operations such as adding, modifying, and deleting entries in the experience database. This database is crucial for storing and managing the data that the AI will use to learn and improve its performance.

Step 2: Configure IVS Settings

  • Access IVS Settings:
    • Go to Main Menu > EVENT > AI Settings > IVS.
  • Select and Configure Channel:
    • Select the appropriate channel that you want to link to the experience database.
  • Enable Experience Database:
    • Click SETTING next to Global Config to enable the Experience Database and link the selected channel to it. This linkage allows the channel to utilize the experience database for self-learning purposes.

Step 3: Perform AI Search and Update Database

  • Enter AI Search Interface:
    • Go to Main Menu > SEARCH > AI Search > IVS.
  • Review and Select Target Images:
    • On the search results page, select the target images that triggered alarms in the video footage.
  • Import to Database:
    • Import these images into the experience database to refine and improve the AI’s self-learning process. This step ensures that the system continuously evolves and becomes more accurate over time by learning from real incidents.

Benefits of IVS Self-Learning

  • Increased Accuracy: The self-learning capability enables the AI to refine its algorithms based on actual data, improving the accuracy of video surveillance over time.
  • Adaptive Learning: By continually adding new data to the experience database, the system can adapt to new scenarios and environments, enhancing its overall effectiveness.
  • Improved Incident Response: The more the system learns from past events, the better it becomes at identifying and responding to potential threats, leading to quicker and more reliable incident management.
