How to Initialize IPC Without using ConfigTool (WEB 5.0)

Initializing your device is essential to ensure it operates correctly and is configured according to your preferences. This process involves setting up the network connection, regional settings, time zone, and user credentials. Proper initialization ensures the device is secure, accessible, and tailored to your specific needs, enhancing its overall functionality and performance.
Steps to Initialize

This tutorial is based on WEB 5.0 firmware, though interfaces may vary across models and firmware versions.
Operation Description
Connect the power supply to the device.
Connect your PC to the camera using a network cable.
Open a web browser and enter the camera's IP address (default: 192.168.1.108) in the address bar.
Select the appropriate region and language.
Set the video standard to either NTSC or PAL.
- Choosing between NTSC and PAL depends largely on the geographical region and the specific requirements of your video system. NTSC is more suited for regions like North America and Japan, while PAL is preferred in Europe, Africa, and parts of Asia and South America.

To synchronize the time zone with your PC, select the ‘sync with pc’ function.
Enter the username and create a password (default username: admin).
If you do not have an email address available, unselect the checkbox.
Enabling P2P will assist in remotely managing your device by collecting information such as IP address, MAC address, device name, and device SN. If you do not agree to enable the P2P function, unselect the checkbox.
Login to the device.
Click the Settings icon in the upper right corner and select Network Settings.
Select TCP/IP. Set the IP address by selecting Static or DHCP for an IP address to be assigned, gateway, and subnet mask of the camera. Click Apply when done.
