How to Set Audio Detection (WEB 5.0)

This knowledge base article provides instructions on setting up the Audio Detection function for devices using the WEB 5.0 firmware. Audio Detection enables the system to monitor and respond to specific audio events, enhancing security by detecting unusual sounds.

Audio Detection is crucial for environments where monitoring sound is as important as visual surveillance. This feature helps detect events like loud noises, breaking glass, or other unusual sounds, allowing for a prompt response. Proper configuration ensures that the system can effectively distinguish between normal and abnormal sounds, thereby enhancing overall security and monitoring capabilities.

Steps to Set Audio Detection

  1. Product Model and Firmware Version
Ensure your device supports Audio Detection. This tutorial is based on WEB 5.0 firmware, though interfaces may vary across models and firmware versions.

    • Set Sensitivity and Threshold: Higher sensitivity and a lower area threshold make the event more likely to be triggered.
      • Why Adjust Sensitivity and Threshold: These settings allow you to fine-tune the system to detect relevant audio events while minimizing false alarms.
      • Benefits: Ensures that the system is responsive to important sounds while ignoring background noise, enhancing the accuracy and reliability of audio detection.

Step 4: Set the Anti-Dither time.

    • Anti-Dither: This setting ensures that the alarm is triggered only once within the specified time, preventing multiple triggers from the same event.

Step 5: Enable the event linkage to associate audio detection with specific actions or alerts.
Step 6: Click Apply to save the settings. Use the Default option to restore all settings if needed.
