How to Set Face Recognition Function (WEB 3.0)

This knowledge base article provides instructions on setting up the Face Recognition function for devices using the WEB 3.0 firmware. Face Recognition is essential for identifying and comparing facial images to a database, enabling enhanced security and access control.

Purpose and Benefits

The Face Recognition function is designed to compare detected faces against a pre-configured database, triggering alarms or actions based on the comparison results. This is crucial for applications such as security monitoring, access control, and attendance tracking. By accurately identifying individuals, it enhances security, prevents unauthorized access, and streamlines management processes.

  • Face Enhancement: Guarantees clear facial images even with low stream quality.
  • Non-living Filtering: Filters out non-living faces such as pictures.
  • Snap Face Image: Set the range for snapping face images, including custom settings.
  • Snapshot Mode:
    • Optimized Snapshot: Capture the sharpest image within the specified timeframe after the camera detects a face.
    • Recognition Priority: Continuously match the captured face against the faces in the active facial database, capturing and sending an event for the most similar face image. This mode is recommended for access control scenarios.
