How to Set Illuminator Function (WEB 5.0)

The Illuminator function is crucial for maintaining clear and detailed surveillance images in dark environments. By utilizing IR and warm light, the system can capture high-quality images even in complete darkness. Proper configuration of the Illuminator function enhances security and monitoring effectiveness, ensuring that critical details are not missed.


Steps to Set Illuminator

  1. Product Model and Firmware Version
    Ensure your device supports the Illuminator function. This tutorial is based on WEB 5.0 firmware, though interfaces may vary across models and firmware versions.
     

  2. Operation Description

    Step 1: Login to your device.

    Step 2: Click Camera on the Homepage.

    Step 3: Image > Illuminator

    Step 4: Select the Profile:

    Step 5: Select the Mode to adapt to various situations:

  • Manual: Adjust brightness manually for specific needs.
  • Auto/Smart IR: Automatically adjusts illuminator intensity based on ambient lighting.
  • Off: Turns off the illuminator when not needed.
Step 6: Select Off or General in Illumination Overexposure Remover.

The "Illumination Overexposure Remover" dynamically adjusts the intensity of the built-in illuminator to reduce overexposure. This feature enhances image clarity and detail in low-light or nighttime conditions by balancing exposure levels, preventing areas from becoming overly bright or washed out. It ensures better night vision and improved identification of objects and individuals, enhancing overall surveillance effectiveness


Step 7: Click Apply to save the settings. Use the Default option to clear Illuminator settings if needed.
