How to Set People Counting Function (WEB 5.0)

Steps to Set People Counting

Product Model and Firmware Version
Ensure your device supports the People Counting function. This tutorial is based on WEB 5.0 firmware, though interfaces may vary across models and firmware versions.
Operation Description
Step 1: Login to your device.

Step 2: AI > Smart Plan > People Counting > Next


Step 3: Click Add Rule to add a new rule and select the People Counting rule type.

- Why Enable People Counting: Activating this feature allows the system to monitor and record the number of people entering and exiting a specified area.
- Benefits: Provides valuable data for analyzing foot traffic, managing occupancy, and improving operational efficiency.
Step 4: Click the Draw Rule icon to set the rule region/line.

- Draw Rule: Use the left click on the image to draw the rule, and right-click to end the drawing. Regional rules will auto-close into a region when finished drawing.
- Modify/Delete Rule: Click the rule name to modify it or the delete icon to remove the rule.
Step 5: Set parameters for the current rule:

- People Counting Alarm: Set an alarm to trigger when the number of people reaches a specific value.
- Time Plan: Define the effective period for the rule.
- Event Linkage: Select the operations to be performed when an event is triggered.
Step 6: Click Apply to save the rule. Use the Default option to clear People Counting settings if needed.
