How to Set Snapshot Function (WEB 5.0)

Purpose of Snapshot Function

The snapshot function in IPCs allows you to capture still images based on specific events or conditions. This feature is useful for monitoring and documenting specific moments, such as motion detection or tampering events, and can be configured to adjust image quality and size according to your needs.

 

Steps to Set Up Snapshot Function



Login to the Device

Access the device's web interface.
Enter your login credentials to gain access.

Navigate to Live View

Click Live from the main menu.

Click the camera icon to take one or three snapshots.

Set Snapshot Settings

Navigate to HomePicture > Snapshot.
Here, you can adjust parameters related to the snapshot function.

Configure Snapshot Parameters

Snapshot Type:
  • Select Event to trigger snapshots based on specific events.
  • You can choose from events such as Motion Detection, Video Tamper, and Scene Changing.
Image Size and Quality:
  • Set the desired image size.
  • Adjust the image quality to meet your requirements.


Save the Settings

Click Apply to save the snapshot settings.
Use Default to clear the snapshot settings and restore to default values if needed.
