How to manually calibrate the Panoramic Linkage for Diamond PTZ using the (new) web GUI


Requirements / Before You Begin

List prerequisites the reader should have ready.

  • Have the Diamond PTZ mounted 

  • Have access to the PTZ’s web GUI 

Procedure

1.  [Hit the home button ]

From the main view of the PTZ, select the home button



2.  [Select the AI option ]

Click on the AI section




3.  [Navigate to Panoramic LInkage]

Select Panoramic Linkage on your left hand side 




4.  [Navigate to the calibration page ]

Click on Main/Sub Calibration 



5.  [Change Type]

Select the drop down menu and set the type to Manuel




6.  [Add a new scene]

A new menu will appear below select “Add”



7.  [Place your markers]

A small “ + ” will appear on both camera views. You can move and set them to your desired location. Do your best to set them at the same position on each camera

Once placed in desired location select save (floppy disc icon ) 



8.  [Save your markers position]

Once placed in desired location select save (floppy disc icon ) 






9.  [Complete scene 1 ]

Add at least 4 markers per scene. Be sure to save them using the floppy disk icon before adding a new marker or it will erase the current placed locations



10.  [Creating Additional Scenes]

[Select the drop down menu next to scene and select # 2]



11.  [Adjust detailed camera angle]

[Using the PTZ controls on the right hand side, adjust the detailed camera to a new position. Follow steps 8,9, and 10 placing at least 4 markers for each scene until you have 4 scenes completed



12.  [Applying changes]

[Once completed be sure to select apply to save your scenes. You will see a brief confirmation that the operation was successful.]



Notes / Troubleshooting


[It is important that all scenes and positions are set before attempting to apply the settings; if not you will be met with an error.]
