ENS Access + Intercom || ENS Intercom

This section will explain Intercom Setup after Physical Installation has been completed by installer. 

 

This Section will cover the following Models
Outdoor Devices
  1. SID-MM1 - Main Outdoor Door Module. Doors/Gates that will be needing to be operated by the Intercom system will be wired to this module. All other modules are considered "Sub-Modules" that connect to the SID-MM1. Sub modules are also powered up by the SID-MM1. The SID-MM1 features a 2MP Camera, In-Line HD Mic, H.264 Compression and can support up to 8 sub-modules. The SID-MM1 can be powered via PoE Switch (48V) or 12V DC external Power Source.
  2. SID-MR - Video Intercom Card Reader Module -  Unlocks doors via Card/Key-Fob Swiping. The SID-MR also has the ability to register cards by selecting sub-module as the desktop reader when registering cards/fobs. 
  3. SID-MD - Video Intercom Display Module - The SID-MD is a 3.5" LCD Display module with a resolution of 320x480 that can display contact information as a list to choose from. (Ex. John Hancock- Room 101, Select to Dial Room#) Display module supports up to 500 contacts. 
  4. SID-MK - Video Intercom Keypad Module - Keypad module must be used if the customer would like to open doors with PIN code instead of a card/fob OR PIN code WITH card/fob. Keypad can also be used to dial room numbers. Keys on Keypad have L.E.D light in back of keys and automatically power on when sun goes down. 
  5. SID-MN- Video Intercom Nametag Module - The nametag module boast 6 preset keys that can be programmed to any specific room number for one-touch resident dialing. The included paper tags can be written on and displayed next to button for easy identification. 
  6. SID-MB- Video Intercom Blank Module - The SID-MB is a blank module designed to fill in a blank module space when using the 2 or 3 module surface mounting bracket. It can be replaced with a working module of choice when client is ready. 
Indoor Devices
  1. SIR-T7WE - Indoor Station - ENS SIR-T7WE indoor station is a 7" TFT Capacitive touch screen station that is configured to work with the ENS SID-MM1 outdoor station. The Indoor station features a 15.1mm slim design with a 1024x600 colorful resolution screen. Station can also receive a SD card to store messages and captured pictures from the outdoor station. The SIR-T7WE is also Wi-Fi compatible; able to connect to a wireless SSID and powered to a 12v DC adapter, or can be used with a POE Switch (48v). Remote unlocking trough CMS software or trough mobile app is also featured. 
Intercom Accessories

The SID-MM1 is a modular system, which means that the customer can pick and choose the modules that will fit their needs. The SID-MM1 can accommodate up to 8 modules at a single time. The customer can decide to install 1 single module, or as many modules as they wish. ENS currently offers 6 different brackets, either flush mount or surface mount options are available. All brackets are of high-quality aircraft grade aluminum that has a brushed steel finished to them.

1. SID-BW1 - 1 module SURFACE mount bracket

2. SID-BW2 - 2 module SURFACE mount bracket

3. SID-BW3 - 3 module SURFACE mount bracket

4. SID-BF3- 3 module FLUSH mount bracket

 

A Note about the PoE switches that are needed for the Outdoor/Indoor station

The Indoor and outdoor station can be powered and connected at the same time by the use of a PoE switch. The PoE switch that is required to work with both devices is as follows. 

  • PoE Switch must output 48V 

 

 

Indoor Station Configuration

Activation

Once the installer has installed outdoor station with at least 1 Indoor station, you can begin the configuration.

You can configure and operate the indoor station after creating a password for the device activation

1. Power on the device. It will enter the activation page. 

 

2. create a password and confirm it

Password Requirements: Using a minimum of 8 characters, including at least three kinds of following
categories: upper case letters, lower case letters, numbers, and special characters

 

Wizard (Quick Settings)

After device activation, the wizard will begin. 

1. Choose language and tap Next

2. Set network parameters and tap Next

  • Edit local IP address, Subnet M

     

    ask, and Gateway parameters
  • Enable DHCP. The device will obtain network parameters automatically 

Indoor Station Settings

  • Indoor station type: Choose indoor station if the room is only going to use 1 indoor station, or choose Indoor station extension if the room will be using 2 indoor stations or more per room (note: if say, a room will use 2 Indoor stations, 1 indoor station will be set to INDOOR STATION and the second, third, fourth, etc will be set to INDOOR STATION EXTENSION) 
  • Floor Number - Enter the floor number of the room 
  • Room Number - Enter the room number 
  • Registration Password - Enter this only if needed

On the 5th page of the wizard, you will see the device list related devices to that of the Indoor station. If you have an outdoor station on the network, you will see it here on this list. Make sure you already know the IP address of the outdoor station you will be choosing as described on step 2.

4. Once you locate the Ip address of the Outdoor Station that you would like to link with the Indoor Station, highlight the Outdoor Station and click on Finish

Note: If the Outdoor Station is inactive, the system will pop up a dialog box to activate the station. 

 

Configuration Settings

Network connectivity is required for the use of the Intercom Station solution. Set the network parameters after activating the Indoor Station. Only when the IP address of the Indoor Station is in the same network segment as other devices (ex. Outdoor Station) will it work properly. 

Set Indoor Station Network Parameters 

The default IP address of the Indoor station is 192.0.0.64

 

Set Linked Devices IP 

 

Linked network parameters refers to the network parameters of devices to which the indoor station is linked to. Linked devices for the indoor station refers to the door station, center, main station, and doorphone. 

With the private SIP protocol, Intercom can be realized only when all these devices are in the same network segment with the Indoor station. 

With the standard SIP protocol, Intercom can be realized when all these devices support the standard SIP protocol.

Indoor station No. and the indoor extension No. are numbers, which can be dialed by other devices to call the indoor station and the indoor extension in an intercom system. The indoor station No, is composed of the floor No. and the room No. The indoor extension No. Should be a numeric from 1 to 5. Up to 5 indoor extensions can be set for 1 indoor station. 

1. Tap Settings, Configuration and enter admin password 

2. tap LOGIN to enter the indoor station settings page 

3. Enter the password of the device 

4. Click on the "5th" icon. It will send you to "Device Management"
