Overview:
SearchTools is a utility that helps you find, configure, and manage cameras on your network. It allows you to make changes to multiple devices at once, saving time during setup and maintenance.
Select Network Card
Choose the network adapter your computer is using (especially important if you have Wi-Fi and Ethernet).
Start Search
Click this to scan your network and display all connected devices (cameras, recorders, etc.).
Export Devices via Excel
Save a list of discovered devices for documentation or troubleshooting.
Camera Credentials
Enter the camera’s username and password to allow configuration changes.
Batch Reset
Restore selected devices to factory default settings.
Batch Reboot
Restart one or multiple devices at the same time.
IP Batch Setting
Assign IP addresses:
DHCP: Automatically assigns IPs
Static: Manually set IP addresses
50Hz / 60Hz Setting
Set the video standard:
50Hz (PAL) – Common in Europe
60Hz (NTSC) – Common in the United States
Batch Set Language
Change the system language across multiple cameras at once.
Batch Sync Time
Sync the date and time across selected devices.
Batch Set Password
Apply the same password to multiple cameras during or after setup.
Batch Set Video & Audio Encode
Copy encoding settings (resolution, bitrate, etc.) from one camera to others.
Update Firmware of Camera
Update the firmware for the camera by selecting “Browse”. Select “Upgrade Firmware to initiate the firmware selected.
Smart Detection
Enable intelligent detection features such as:
Motion Detection
Human Detection
Vehicle Detection
You can also enable deterrents like lights or sirens if supported.
P2P ID Identification
Easily locate each camera’s P2P ID for adding it to the VideoLink app.
Remote Config
Right-click on a camera to access its full settings remotely (similar to logging in through a web browser).
From here, you can adjust:
Video settings
Audio
Encoding
OSD (on-screen display)
