General || Allowing Firewall permission On Networks
Sometimes when using our IP scanning tools no devices will show up despite being on the same network. One possible reason for this is that Windows Defender Firewall is blocking these programs on your Windows computer.
When you first install the software you should be prompted to allow the program on certain types of networks. All options should be selected as you are never too sure how a site has configured their network. Sometimes this box is missed.
If it is missed:
1. Search for Windows Defender Firewall.
2. Select the option "Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall"
3. Find the tool in the list, in this case EZTools, and make sure all of the options are selected.
4. Press "OK" at the bottom of the window. Restart the tool.
