Use a cable stripper to remove the cable jacket and expose the twisted pair wires.
Untwist the cables, you will see 4 pairs of twisted cable pairs: Orange / White Orange, Green / White Green, Blue / White Blue, and Brown / White Brown
We will be crimping the cable to the T568B standard.
WhiteOrange / White / WhiteGreen / Blue / WhiteBlue / Green / WhiteBrown / Brown
Start with the Orange pair, and straighten out the wires.
Do the same with the rest of the wires, and line them up accordingly.
Cut the wires so they are all the same length.
Grab your RJ45 connector with the gold “teeth” pins facing upward. Insert the wires, making sure each cable lines up.
In the example below, there is too much exposed wire. If this happens, remove the connector and trim the wire back.
The cable jacket should sit in the connector.
Next, insert the connector into a cable crimper and clamp the connector.
Do this on the other end of your cable. To test, insert both connectors into a cable tester. If you have lined up the wires with the right pins, your cable tester will read PASS.
