Formatting large USB drives as FAT32
When formatting a drive on Windows you are limited to 32GB drives on Windows. As a work around to format USB drives in FAT32 format, we can use Rufus.
Formatting will delete any files on the drive that you format.
Plug the USB drive into the computer and make a mental note of the drive letter.
Download and run Rufus.
Set the “Device” option to the USB’s drive letter.
Set the “boot selection” to non bootable.
Set the “file system” option to FAT32.
Click “start”.
After the program completes the format, check that the drive has formatted in FAT32 by right clicking the drive and selecting properties.
