Connecting a Doorbell to a Wireless Network
Physical Connection:
- Use the network cable to connect the doorbell to any available Ethernet port on the wireless router or access point (AP). You'll need to attach a 12V 5A power supply if you're not connecting it through a POE.
Connect PC to Wireless Network:
- Use your PC to connect to the wireless network that you'll be using for the device setup.
- Device will not work on Wi-Fi if it is connected over POE. Use a 12V 5A power supply to power the device and connect the doorbell to Wi-Fi.
Discover Device with IPTool:
- Run the IPTool application on your PC.
- Locate the device on the network using its MAC address or Model Number.
- Double-click the device entry in the IP-Tool. This action will open the login interface of the camera.
Web Browser and Compatibility:
- Ensure you have a compatible web browser: IE (plug-in required), Edge or Google Chrome.
- It's recommended to use the latest version of these web browsers for optimal performance.
- Depending on the browser and plug-in, the menu display and camera operation may vary slightly.
- Installing the plug-in can provide access to more camera functions.
Login to Camera:
- Enter the default username and password in the camera's login interface.
- Username: admin Default Password: 123456
Configure Wireless Settings:
- Click on "Config," then navigate to "Network" and select "WIFI."
- Enable Wi-Fi functionality.
- Choose the desired wireless router from the list.
- Enter the Wi-Fi key (password) for the chosen network and click Save.
IP Address Configuration:
- Choose between "Obtain an IP address automatically" or manually enter the IP address by clicking "Use the following IP address."
- Enter the required IP address information.
- Click "Save" to save the settings.
Disconnect Ethernet Cable:
- Safely disconnect the network cable from the camera.
Access Camera Using IP-Tool:
- Run the IP-Tool application again.
- Locate the camera using its IP address or MAC address.
- Double-click the camera's listing in the IP-Tool. Alternatively, enter the camera's IP address in a web browser's address bar to access the camera's interface.
