Resetting IP Camera to Default Settings Using Open IP Tool

 

Ensure Network Connection:

  • Confirm that the computer you are using is connected to the same network as the camera. This is essential for the IP tool to communicate with the camera.


Launch Open IP Tool:

  • Open the IP tool application on your computer. Ensure it’s the correct version compatible with your camera.


Locate MAC Address:

  • Identify the MAC address of the camera. This information is found on to the right of IP Tools or when the camera is selected/highlighted.


Restore Default Configuration:

  • Enter the MAC address into the ‘Restore IPC Default Configuration’ field.
  • Click 'OK' to initiate the reset command.
  • Turn off the camera within the first 30 seconds after clicking 'OK'. This step is crucial for the reset to process correctly.


By following these steps, you can reset your IP camera to its factory default settings using the Open IP Tool. Make sure to monitor the camera's response to confirm that the reset was successful.
