This guide provides instructions on configuring cruise settings for PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras through the NVR interface. Cruise settings allow the camera to automatically move between preset positions, following a defined path. This article covers how to add, edit, and delete cruises, as well as how to manage cruise groups.
To access the cruise settings, navigate to:
Start > Settings
Camera > PTZ > Cruise
This will bring up the interface where you can configure cruise paths for your cameras.
Click on the camera list on the right side of the interface to display the cruise information for the selected dome camera. Then, click “Add” to create a new cruise.
The process for adding a cruise is similar to the PTZ control interface. For more detailed instructions, refer to the PTZ Control Interface Introduction.

Editing a Cruise
Select the camera and the cruise you want to edit from the “Cruise” interface. Enter a new name for the cruise and click to save it. To modify the cruise path, click “Add Preset” to include new preset positions in the cruise. You can also edit or delete existing presets. If you need to change the order of the presets, select a preset from the list and use the move up or move down buttons to adjust its position. Start or stop the cruise by clicking the respective buttons.
To remove a cruise, click on the camera list on the right side of the interface to display the cruise information for the selected dome camera. Then, click the delete icon in the top right corner of the cruise entry
Cruise groups allow you to link multiple cruises together, enabling the camera to follow a sequence of cruises.
To manage cruise groups, navigate to:
Start > Settings > Camera > PTZ > Cruise Group
Click “Add Cruise” to create a new cruise group or click to extend the cruise list and add an existing cruise. Once the cruise group is set up, click “Play” on the left panel to start the sequence of cruises.
Deleting a Cruise Group
In the cruise list, click the delete icon to remove the selected cruise from the group.
Configuring cruise settings allows your PTZ cameras to automatically patrol specific areas by following preset paths. By managing cruises and cruise groups, you can ensure continuous monitoring of important areas without manual intervention. This enhances the overall security and coverage of your surveillance system.
