How to Manage Preset Settings for PTZ Cameras (1.4.9 & 1.4.10) 


This article provides detailed instructions on managing preset settings for PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras through the NVR interface. Presets allow you to save specific camera positions, making it easy to return to a preferred view with a single command. This guide covers how to add, edit, and delete presets to enhance your surveillance system's efficiency.


Accessing the Preset Settings

To begin managing presets, navigate to the preset settings interface by following these steps:

Go to: Start > Settings

Camera > PTZ > Preset

This will open the preset settings interface where you can configure your camera's preset positions.

Adding a Preset

Select a camera for which you want to create a preset. Click the “Add” button to create a new preset. Alternatively, you can select a camera from the list on the right side of the interface to display existing preset information, and then click to add a new preset. Adjust the camera’s position, zoom, focus, iris, and rotation speed as desired. After configuring the settings, click “Save Position” to store the preset.

Editing a Preset

  • Select the camera and the specific preset you wish to edit. Enter a new name for the preset if needed and click to save the new name. Modify the preset’s rotating speed, position, zoom, focus, and iris settings as needed. Click “Save Position” to update the preset with the new settings.

  • Editing a preset allows you to refine the camera's behavior for specific situations or environments, ensuring optimal coverage.

Deleting a Preset

  • Select the camera and the preset you want to delete. Click “Delete” to remove the preset from the system.
  • Deleting presets that are no longer needed helps keep your system organized and ensures that only relevant presets are available for quick access.

Managing preset settings for PTZ cameras is a crucial part of optimizing your surveillance system. By adding, editing, and deleting presets, you can ensure that your cameras are always positioned to capture the most important areas of interest.
