UNV IPC | How to Default an IP Camera | Local GUI


Overview

This article covers how to restore an IP camera to factory default settings from the UNV recorder's Local GUI. The camera will restart once the default is applied.

Note: Defaulting a camera clears its current configuration. Confirm the customer is aware before proceeding.


Steps

Step 1 – Log in Enter the login credentials at the sign-in screen.


Step 2 – Open the main menu Move the mouse to the lower-left corner of the screen and select the Home icon. You may be prompted to log in again after selecting the menu option. Enter the credentials again and you will be taken to the main menu page.


Step 3 – Navigate to Camera > Advanced From the main menu page, select the Camera tab at the top, then select the Advanced tab.


Step 4 – Select the camera The Advanced tab displays a list of connected cameras, with the default option on the right side. Check the box next to the camera you want to default.

Step 5 – Default the camera Select the Default Camera button. A prompt will appear confirming that the camera will be defaulted and restarted. Select OK to continue.



Result

The selected camera is restored to factory default settings and restarts. Allow the camera time to come back online before reconfiguring.
