1. An Akuvox Installer Account Web Portal Login (If planning to use cloud services to setup and manage)
a. Installer accounts are created for all new Akuvox customers. This account is used to create, setup and manage each project/ property, Akuvox devices and managers.
2. Power over ethernet or Separate 12v power supply and RJ45 ethernet cable if POE is unavailable
a. Akuvox products support a single Power Over Ethernet for both power and data transmission.
b. A separately purchased 12 volt power supply is only required if Power Over Ethernet is not available.
3. Laptop/ PC to log into Local User Interface for configuration
a. A pc connected to the Local Area Network is required to log into each Akuvox local web interface to configure devices locally.
b. Installer Web Portal allows remote login to each Akuvox device if the Akuvox is connected to the internet and has successfully registered.
4. Wall mounting brackets may not be included
a. Check to make sure your Akuvox device has the correct wall mount bracket for your application.

5. Akuvox devices require an IP address to function.
a. This requires devices to be connected to a lan with a router or dhcp server. If you are planning on using Akuvox in a closed network with only a switch, then each devices will need to have a static ip manually configured before launch.
b. Akuvox devices come out of the box with an ip address of 0.0.0.0.
6. Door Locks.
a. You will need a basic understanding of how different types of electronic door locks function and how they need to be wired in. All electronic door locks require a power source to operate. Not all Akuvox devices provide output power and will need an external 12vdc power source for your locks to work. A basic understanding of "Normally Open/ Closed and Common contacts of a Relay" will help make for a smooth installation.
