Purpose of the Maintenance Function

The maintenance function on IPCs is crucial for maintaining system stability, managing storage, and prolonging the device's lifespan. Regular tasks such as auto reboot and auto deletion of old files help in clearing temporary files, refreshing system resources, preventing crashes, and ensuring consistent recording. Automating these tasks reduces manual intervention, saves time, and keeps the device running efficiently, ultimately enhancing its performance and longevity.
 

Steps to Set Up Maintenance

Login to the Device

Access the device's web interface.
Enter your login credentials to gain access.

Navigate to Maintenance Settings

Click on the System icon > Maintenance Center

Go to Maintenance Management > Maintenance.

Configure Maintenance Options

Auto Reboot:
Select the Auto Reboot checkbox.
Set the reboot time for the system to automatically restart at the set time every week.

Auto Delete Old Files:
Select the Auto Delete Old Files checkbox.
Set the time interval for the system to automatically delete old files. The time range can be set from 1 to 31 days.

Apply the Settings

Click Apply to save the maintenance configurations.
If needed, use Default to clear the maintenance settings.

By following these steps, you can effectively set up and configure the maintenance function on your IPC using the WEB 5.0 firmware. This ensures that your device is regularly rebooted and old files are automatically deleted, maintaining optimal performance and storage management.
