Diamond Recorder || Trigger MIC Out to Play Audio File on NVR/XVR || Web Client

Many Diamond series NVR/XVR's can be configured to play audio files through the MIC Out port on the back on the recorder. The MIC Out port is an RCA or BNC port on the back of the recorder and will need to be connected to an amplified device such as a powered loudspeaker.

Audio Configuration: Adding an Audio File.

1. Open up a web browser and log into the recorder.

2. Click on the arrow highlighted to go to the next menu page with additional tiles.

3. Click on the Audio tile to get into the audio menu.

4. On the file management page, click on Select Audio File to open a window for importing the audio file.

5. Browse for the audio file you want to upload. (Please note that the file will have to be a MP3 file format)

6. After the file is selected, Click on the Apply button.

7. After applying, you will see the audio file in the list.

Audio Configuration: Setting up timed play or announcements.

1. Click on the Audio Play tab.
2. Select an audio file to play and enable the rule. Set the active time period, the interval of the file play, and the times the file will repeat.
3. Click on the Apply button.

Alarm Configuration: Triggering audio from motion detection example.

NOTE: For configuring audio for an AI rule please go to the AI menu.

1.Click on the "Desktop" icon on the upper right-hand corner to go back to the main menu

2. Click on the Alarm tile to get into the alarm configuration menu.

3. Select the Video Detection menu and choose the camera channel you want to set the trigger for. Enable Audio Tone and select the audio file you would like to play.

4. Make sure the correct audio file is selected and click apply to set the configuration.
