How to Set Up Voice Alerts for Events on Your NVR

This article provides a step-by-step guide for setting up voice alerts to be triggered by events on your NVR. The instructions may vary slightly depending on the model and firmware version of your device.

Ensure that:
  • The voice files are in MP3 or PCM format.
  • The size of each voice file is between 2KB and 10MB.
  • Up to 20 voice files can be uploaded to the device.

 

Steps to Set Up Voice Alerts

Upload Voice Files

  • Navigate to Main Menu.
  • Select Audio.

  • Go to File Management.
  • Choose Local for the file type.
  • Select and add the voice file.
  • Click OK to upload.

  • Navigate to Main Menu.
  • Select Alarm.
  • Go to Video Detection.
  • Select Motion Detection.


Configure Motion Detection

  • Select a camera channel.
  • Draw the motion detection region on the screen.
  • Enable Motion Detection.
  • Configure the sensitivity and threshold:
Sensitivity: Adjust the sensitivity of motion detection (higher sensitivity makes it easier to trigger motion detection).
Threshold: Set the proportion of moving objects relative to the size of the entire monitoring screen (a smaller value makes it easier to trigger the detection).



Enable Alarm Tone

  • Check Alarm Tone.
  • Select the uploaded audio file for the voice alert.
  • Click OK to save the settings.


Notes

When drawing the motion area, you can name the motion detection region for easier identification.
Adjust the sensitivity and threshold settings according to your monitoring needs to optimize detection accuracy.

By following these steps, you can effectively configure your NVR to trigger voice alerts when specific events occur. This enhances your surveillance system by providing audible alerts for important events.
