Akuvox A092 Device and  DoorStrike setup Through Wiegand

If installing a door strike to A092 Controller with a doorbell  that has either a door strike or mag lock and a user does not want to utilize an Action URL, they must then wire the doorbell through Wiegand. With this setup there are two ways to power the strike/lock, first being  external power or utilizing the power that the A092 provides. This setup will use Pin Codes

First wire  Wiegand_A_D0, Wiegand_A_D1, and Ground

This will be wired for both the A092 and whichever device you are using.

This example uses an R27

Next you will connect your door strike.

  • If with external power Normally Open and Relay common will be utilized

I.E: In this example we will utilizing the power from the A092

Because we are utilizing this power we will need a Jumper that allows for the transfer of voltage through the door strike.

Wiring Goes as Followed

  • Red: Relay_No
  • Black: Ground
  • Jumper from 12V To Relay_COM

Setup device on Cloud add Manager and open Manager account

ADD a NEW person/resident/family/etc and set up their PIN

Example pin: 741852

Once adding their Pin number its best to use 4-6 numbers for this to be an easier conversion from Decimal to Hexadecimal

Open Calculator on your computer>Left hash marks>Standard to Programmer mode> in DEC add pin>HEX will be your HEX conversion

NOTE: the HEX form must be added in the RF card section and must contain 8 characters. In our example there were 5 characters generated when adding the pin so we add 3 zeros to the front of the 5 characters to make a total of 8

Next you will configure wiegand on both devices. As well as the 12v power for the power to the strike/lock

A092:

Wiegand Setup

Login> Device> Wiegand> Check mark Wiegand Open relay A or B> Wiegand Transfer mode must be INPUT and submit

12V Setup

Login>Access Control> Relay> 12V Power Output> Dropdown to Always and submit

Note: On the Device sending the pin (r27 in this example) we must also access the wiegand settings convert the wigend to a pin and change the Transfer mode to Output.
