Diamond IPC || Adding an IP Camera Using the Onvif Protocol ||

This article provides a step-by-step guide for integrating an IP camera into your NVR/XVR system using the Onvif protocol. This process ensures seamless connectivity and reliable surveillance monitoring.

Before you begin, ensure you have:

  • The IP address of the camera
  • The camera's password
  • Administrative access to the NVR 
Log in to the NVR

Click on SETTING in the main menu. Select CAMERA from the dropdown options.

Choose Camera List to view the current list of connected cameras.

Click on Manual Add located at the top or bottom of the Camera List screen.

Ensure the Onvif protocol option is checked to enable Onvif camera addition.
Input the IP address of the camera in the designated field.
Enter the camera's password in the corresponding field.
Click OK to finalize the addition of the camera.

A confirmation message, "Operation succeeded," will appear, indicating that the camera has been successfully added.

Troubleshooting
If the camera does not connect, please verify the following:

  • The IP address and password entered are correct.
  • The camera supports the Onvif protocol.
  • The network connection is stable and properly configured.
