Diamond IPC || LPR237-6M-IRLZF1050-B LPR configuration || Web GUI
This tutorial will guide you through the Diamond series License Plate Recognition (LPR) camera configuration. LPR camera is the first and most critical element of a complete parking lot entry and exit management system.
Note: SD card is required for LPR camera installation.
Installation Location:
The ideal height of an LPR camera should be between 2m to 5m which is approximately 6 ft to 15 ft, the vertical angle to the license plate should be less than 30 degree.
- The horizontal angle of the camera to the license plate should be less than 30 degree.
- It is recommended to capture the rear license plate over the front license plate. Or both front and rear license plate together. Due to the headlight might cause incorrect or unable to read the front license plate.
- The license plate appears in camera should be leveled or under 5 degree.
- The license plate width should be more than 130 pixels for proper recognition.
Below is the summary of LPR camera installation illustrations.

Note: The position of the LPR camera is critical to the successful installation of the system. Build a concrete post or additional structure needed to support the camera installation. Do not use existing structures just for convenience but do not meet the above mentioned requirements.
Options of LPR solution, LPR + NVR + Smart PSS will be the most common installation for large projects. However this tutorial is focusing on the LPR + SD card installation.

Configuration
- Initialize LPR237-6M-IRLZF1050-B ANPR camera first like any other Diamond camera.
- There are two ways to configure the LPR function of this camera.
Using the Guide method.
- Login to LPR237-6M-IRLZF1050-B ANPR camera
- Click on Guide

- Please make sure the firmware version is newer than the 2.625, click on OK to advance to 2. Plate Pixel.

- In this configuration page, please make sure the license plate will appear in between the green line. The size of the license plate should be between the two red rectangle boxes.
- You can also zoom in and out and adjust the focus to have a clear license plate reading with naked eye.
- Due to the lab setup, the demo license plate does not fit between the two red rectangle boxes.
- Click next to 3. Recognition.

- Refer to the illustration picture on the right. There are two settings required at this step.
- Red identification zone is where the license plate will be captured and Green snapline is the trigger line when the license plate pass through the line.

- Follow the steps below to draw the identification area.

- Follow the steps below to draw the snapline.
- Please note when you draw the snapline, it needs to go across over the red identification zone, otherwise it will not be saved.
- Click finish to complete the LPR setting.

Using configure (LPR) method.

- Click the Iden area to draw the red identification zone following the numeric procedure below.
- Click the Snapline to draw the line that the license plate will pass through.
- Please note the draw snapline across the red identification zone, otherwise it will not be saved.
- Click to confirm to save the setting.

- Click on the Live tab, you should see license plate being captured.

- Click on the query tab, you can search license plate captured and stored in SD card.
