Lock File Feature for Diamond Series Recorders via Webclient / WebGUI
File Lock is a feature that prevents footage from being overwritten.
This guide will demonstrate how to “Lock” a file and Search for previously locked files.
This feature is functional on Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge on FWs that support those browsers. For FWs that do not support those browsers, use Internet Explorer.
Enter Search. Select the channel and date where the footage is located. Once the data is populated on the timeline. Select the File List tab as shown below.
Once the “File List” tab has been selected and the file list screen appears. Select a time and then click on the “File Lock” ( Lock symbol).
You should see a temporary confirmation banner from the top of the client and a “lock” symbol should appear next to the selected time for the file lock.
To access locked files, click on the “Locked info” button as shown below.
Here you can set the search settings to find locked files of specific dates, times, and channels. Once search parameters are selected. Click on Search
Files that have been successfully locked, and exist within the Locked File database, will populate.
