Less secure apps is being discontinued by google so this guide will go over what to do instead.
First we will have to set up app passwords which require 2-Step Verification.
Step 1: Navigate to your google account settings.
Step 2: Find the securities tab on the left. Find "2-Step Verification" and enable it. Once that is enabled, Click "App passwords".
Step 3: Click the drop down for "Select App" and then select "Other". You can name this whatever you want.
Step 4: Copy this password or write it down. You will use this in the email settings on the recorder instead of your Gmail account password.
Please note that if you forget this password, you will have to delete it and create a new one.
Now we can move on to setting up the email notifications on the recorder.
Step 1: Log into the recorder using the local IP address.
Step 2: Find the settings menu located in one of the tabs across the top of the screen. Click "Network" on the left side menu and navigate to "Email". Once you are there, fill out the settings using the picture below as a guide.
Step 3: To turn on email notifications for motion, find the "Motion" setting under the "Camera" dropdown in the "Setup" menu. Click the "Trigger Actions" tab and then check the box next to "Send Email" to enable.
