Diamond Recorder || Email notifications without less secure apps (Gmail) || Web GUI

Less secure apps is being discontinued by google so this guide will go over what to do instead. 

First we will have to set up app passwords which require 2-Step Verification.

Step 1: Navigate to your google account settings.

Step 2: Find the securities tab on the left. Find "2-Step Verification" and enable it. Once that is enabled, Click "App passwords".

Step 3: Click the drop down for "Select App" and then select "Other". You can name this whatever you want.

Step 4: Copy this password or write it down. You will use this in the email settings on the recorder instead of your Gmail account password.
Please note that if you forget this password, you will have to delete it and create a new one.

Now we can move on to setting up the email notifications on the recorder.

Step 1: Log into the recorder using the local IP address.

Step 2: Navigate to "Setting" located at the top left and then "Network" on the pop out menu.

Step 3: Fill in the information while using the image below as a guide.
Please note that the max char limit is 31 from the "username" field.

Step 4: To turn on email notifications, navigate to "Alarm" from the main menu.

Step 5: Find "Video Detection" from the left side menu and then select the "Motion Detection" Tab. Scroll to the bottom and click "More". Once the menu pops up, you can check the box to the left of "Send Email". Make sure to click "OK" when finished.
