Before setting up notifications on the recorder, open up your Google account on a web browser and click on Manage your Google Account.
Click on Security.
2-Step Verification needs to be as On. If not. Click on the arrow and follow the setup instructions.
Once the setup is complete it should say On.
Click on App passwords.
On the Select app drop down, select Mail.
On the Select device drop down, select Other (Custom name).
Enter Diamond NVR or another name that will help link this password to the recorder in the blank field. Click Generate.
A password will be generated. Make a note of it since it will be needed.
On the recorder, Click on SETTING and then select Network.
Click on Email.
Ensure Enable is checked off and enter in information as shown below.
Enter in the email address in Username and Sender. In Password, enter in the password form 2-step verification.
Select TLS in Encryption Type. Add all email addresses that will receive notifications in the Receiver section.
Next to Sending Interval, enter the number of seconds you want between each email notice.
To ensure the email notification system is still operational, you can sign up to receive emails by checking off Health Mail box. In the field next to Sending Interval, specify how frequently you want those emails to be sent.
Click
Apply when done.

To test alerts using the data you entered above, click the
Test button on the bottom left.
A notification that reads
Test succeeded will appear at the top, and you will also receive a test email.
If it reads
Test Failed, double-check the data you provided earlier.
