"Invalid encryption key" Error Message On An ENS-H DVR/NVR
**This guide was tested using Microsoft Edge with Internet Explorer Mode enabled**
If you receive an error message "Invalid encryption key," while attempting to view cameras on the web browser, it means your camera viewing streams are encrypted and require an encryption key in order to watch live view.
-To find where the encryption key is located, go to Network>Advanced>Platform Access. You can reveal the Encryption Key by clicking on the eyeball icon.
You will find whether Stream Encryption is enabled or not.
Disabling Stream Encryption
Disabling Stream Encryption will no longer prompt the error message at the Live View webpage. (You can now view the cameras) **If you do not see an option to disable, it will have to be done on the local display at the main monitor only.**
If you still cannot view the cameras after disabling Stream Encryption, proceed to System>Security>Security Service. Make sure Stream Encryption is disabled here as well.
**Not all recorders will display this option, if you don’t see Stream Encryption, you can skip this step**
Entering Stream Encryption Key
If you choose to keep Stream Encryption enabled for live viewing, navigate to Local.
**If you do not see this particular option, please make sure you have downloaded and installed the necessary web plugins, then reload the webpage.**
Enter the key (that’s found in Platform Access) where it says "Encryption Key," then click Save.
You are now able to view your cameras from Live View.
