UNV Recorder || Setting Up 3rd Party Cameras || Local GUI

*** Please Note: 3rd party cameras may need specific tools or firmwares to work correctly. Please refer to the camera manufacturer for IP tools as well as general troubleshooting with the cameras in regards to connectivity issues.***


Log into the system by entering the username and password. Default credentials are admin for the username and 123456 for the password.

 

After logging in, move the mouse to the lower left hand corner of the screen and select the home icon. You may receive the login screen after selecting the menu option, but will be taken to the main menu page once logged in. On the main menu, select Camera.

 

On the Camera menu, verify that the camera comes online by confirming that the status symbol for the camera is a blue play button. If configurations need to be made to have the correct address or passwords, that may be modified by selecting the Configure button.

 

In the config menu, change the Add Mode from Plug-and-Play to IP Address.

 

Change the Protocol from Uniview to ONVIF.

 

Generally, the ONVIF port will be 80. Username and passwords will vary depending on camera manufacturers. Please contact technical support for respective vendors when necessary.
