Please note: To use line crossing function, recorder must be updated to the latest firmware (1.3.3 and above) as well as the IP cameras firmware should be at least 4.x.x for line crossing to work correctly.
***Line crossing will NOT work with 3rd party IP cameras set for ONVIF***
To access the web client, please use a Windows based PC and use Internet Explorer as the web browser.
Access the recorder’s web interface by typing in the IP address on the address bar of Internet Explorer. The path should look like the following: “http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx” (Note: If the HTTP port has been changed from default, you will need to add the port number after the IP address by inserting a colon “:” in between the address and port number).
Install all requested web plugins that are prompted by Internet Explorer. Once installed, you may need to refresh, or restart the web browser. You may install the plugin by selecting “Run”.
After logging into the recorder, select the function panel option and select “Intelligent Analytics” Under the camera option.
Select the “Tripwire” option on the bottom left hand corner of the screen. After selecting Tripwire, select the camera that line crossing is to be set up for. Make sure that the tripwire is set for “ON” on the camera, and that the direction of the line cross is adjusted as well. Click and drag on the camera image to draw the line; please make sure that “Draw Line” is checked underneath the camera image.
